We’re watching the sun go down on the eve of the hurricane and so far so good. Everyone seems to be staying in as much as they can and we’re all hunkered down (seems to be the catch phrase around here) and waiting. There’s lots of wind but so far no rain, which is good. Predictions now say that Ike will hit as a strong Cat 2, but that still means that we’ll see upwards of 75mph winds here in Sugar Land.

All Boarded Up

Nobody on the road!

I took this video shortly before dusk of the winds. They aren’t too strong yet but they’re getting there!
Okay – watching that video – now I see why your neighborhood looks the way it does after the storm. I never realized how huge the trees were by your house. WOW.
