We weathered the storm without too much damage. We had some big limbs come down in our yard with some minor fence damage, but overall we escaped much of the disaster that came through Houston.

We’re watching the sun go down on the eve of the hurricane and so far so good. Everyone seems to be staying in as much as they can and we’re all hunkered down (seems to be the catch phrase around here) and waiting. There’s lots of wind but so far no rain, which is good. [...]
